Edmonton: New Democratic Party (NDP) leader Jagmeet Singh has announced on Wednesday the cancellation of the agreement with the Liberal government. After this announcement, the Liberal government in Canada may fall at any time. It is worth mentioning that Canada currently has a minority Liberal government which is running with the help of the NDP. The NDP had entered into an agreement with the Liberal Party on the basis of certain conditions. Under this agreement, the main issues of NDP like pharma care, dental program were included. This agreement was signed between the Liberal Party and the NDP on March 2022 which was until June 2025. The general elections were to be held in October 2025, but Jagmeet Singh announced to withdraw support before that, saying that the Liberals have destroyed the interests of the people. So they are withdrawing support from the Liberal Party. In this regard, political experts say that a financial bill will be brought in the winter session in which the Liberals may be defeated during the voting. As a result, the government may fall on its face.
