Rustom Bhagwagar, a Pilot with Delta Airlines Arrested For sex Crimes Against A child:




An Indian-origin pilot of Delta Airlines has been arrested at San Francisco International Airport in connection with a disturbing case involving alleged sex crimes against a child, the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office said in an official statement.

As per news reports from multiple media outlets, The accused, Rustom Bhagwagar, was arrested from the aircraft he was operating. He now faces multiple felony child sex abuse charges.

According to the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office, detectives, working with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), rushed the aircraft as it arrived at the gate, storming the cockpit to arrest Bhagwagar. Eyewitnesses described the moment as shocking, with one passenger saying about 10 officers boarded the Boeing 757 and took the co-pilot into custody without warning. The other pilot reportedly told confused passengers he was unaware of what had just occurred.

Bhagwagar was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on five counts of oral copulation with a child under 10. He is being held on $5 million bail. Arrest records list him as 6-foot-3 and 220 pounds. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, he previously lived in San Ramon, Texas, and Florida.
Delta Air Lines confirmed that Bhagwagar has been suspended pending the investigation and issued a statement saying the company has “zero tolerance for unlawful conduct” and is fully cooperating with law enforcement. The investigation is ongoing.
