No wrongdoing by Jharkhand principal who forced girls to remove shirts: Official

(News Agency) The district administration team probing the case of the private school in Jharkhand's Dhanbad, whose principal allegedly forced Class 10 female students to remove their shirts, said that they didn't find anything objectionable in the case.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate Tajesh Kumar, who led the investigation, said on Monday night that the probe team heard both sides of the issue. He added that the parents reviewed the CCTV footage alongside the team and that no objectionable evidence had been found so far.
However, investigations by the state legal service authority and the child welfare committee are still ongoing.Notably, the incident occurred on Thursday in a reputed private school in Dhanbad during a celebratory "Pen Day", marking the students' final exam day. As part of the celebration, students wrote good wishes on each other's shirts. Around 100 female students were part of the event.
However, the principal allegedly objected to this, scolding the students and not allowing them to put their shirts back on. They were sent home wearing only their blazers.
A video of the students has since surfaced on social media, with several describing the day as 'traumatic'. The incident has sparked outrage among parents, many of whom visited the Deputy Commissioner's office demanding strict action against the school principal. The principal of the school has apologised for the incident.
