(SAI Bureau) Laurene Powell Jobs, the widow of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, attended the Maha Kumbh in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj on Monday. In a video, the 61-year-old American businesswoman was seen participating in the festivities, wearing an orange-coloured dupatta shawl over her head at the Maha Kumbh.She is expected to take a holy dip at Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati rivers.The widow of Steve Jobs reached Spiritual leader Swami Kailashanand Giri Ji Maharaj's Ashram in Prayagraj on Sunday evening. She was recently given the Hindu name of 'Kamala' by the Niranjani Akhara, a revered organisation of saints. Before arriving in Prayagraj, she visited the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi on January 11. At the temple in Varanasi, the 61-year-old philanthropist worshipped Baba Kashi Vishwanath, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, and performed 'jalabhishek' (offering water to a deity), praying for the successful conduct of the Maha Kumbh. The 45-day Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj, a once-in-144-year spiritual gathering, commenced today. The congregation is expected to draw 450 million devotees to the Triveni Sangam. Maha Kumbh will go on until February 26.
