Katrina Kaif to star opposite Sidharth Malhotra in Vikram Batra biopic?
Karan Johar recently announced that he will be producing a biopic on Kargil war hero Vikram Batra, with actor Sidharth Malhotra playing the lead role. Ever since the announcement is made the makers are on a search for the female lead of the film. Now according to certain reports, Katrina Kaif has been approached for the same.
A close source to a portal revealed that the makers recently had a meeting with Katrina Kaif and they are very keen on casting her in the film. The source further revealed that Katrina Kaif is yet to sign on the dotted lines.
Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra were seen together on the big screen in 'Baar Baar Dekho'. Though Katrina and Sidharth's pair was liked by the audience the film failed to make a mark at the box office.
While speaking about the project Sidharth Malhotra in a statement said "Vikram Batra's life story will inspire you and bring a smile on your face. I am really excited to play the character and the shoot commences this year,"
On the other hand, Katrina Kaif is currently shooting for next Aanand L Rai's directorial 'Zero' along with Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma. The film is slated to hit the screens on December 21, 2018.
Apart from this Katrina is also lined up with the untitled dance film with Remo D' Souza. She will be seen along with Varun Dhawan in the film.
