Momina Mustehsan on Ali Zafar's alleged sexual harassment: #MeToo needs an #ImSorry from offenders

Pakistani singer and actor Meesha Shafi has stirred up a storm by accusing fellow Pakistani actor and singer Ali Zafar of subjecting her to "sexual harassment of a physical nature". After Meesha went public with her traumatic experience, more women have come out with their stories against Ali.

Make-up artist Leena Ghani came out in support of Meesha and said that she was not the only victim. "In the many years I have known Ali, he has on several occasions crossed boundaries of what is appropriate behavior between friends. His behavior displays a clear lack of respect for women. Inappropriate contact, groping, sexual comments should not fall in the grey area between humour and indecency," she wrote in a tweet.

Journalist Maham Javaid also narrated an extremely disturbing story. Ali had allegedly tried to forcefully tried to kiss her cousin and take her into a restroom with him, she said.

Blogger Humna Raza accused him of touching her inappropriately when she approached him for a selfie. "I felt his hand go up the side of my waist. GO UP MY WAIST properly, clearly. I don't want to be too explicit. I felt it and I KNEW what happened," she revealed on Twitter.

In the wake of these allegations, popular Pakistani singer Momina Mustehsan has spoken up. Demanding an apology from offenders, she tweeted, "#MeToo needs a response #ImSorry from the offenders. Nothing will change until they acknowledge, take responsibility and make amends."
