The Fukras are back with another set of gimmicks
'Fukrey' had turned out to be a sleeper success back in 2013. Given the love and appreciation it received, the makers decided to bring the characters back with a double dose of fun and more engagement with the audience than before.
Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, the producers of the film, have created a unique lottery pattern taking a cue out of Choocha's character (played by Varun Sharma). In the previous outing, he was seen locking his lottery ticket numbers based on a dream. The makers have turned this phenomenon into a real property on the film's social media page. "We thought we should make the most of Choocha's dreams and engage with our viewers using it. That's how we created the Fukrey Lottery property," says the film's director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba.
Here, the team is expected to release creatives featuring lottery number options based on Choocha's last dream. The user who guesses the right number wins merchandise from the movie, whose trailer was recently launched and lapped up by the audience. The film opens in cinemas on December 8.
